Vasundhara Hospital, in association with the Indian Menopause Society – Jodhpur Chapter, successfully organized the “Sahajini – The Effortless Women” workshop on 15 March 2026, focusing on an important yet often overlooked topic — mental health during perimenopause and menopause.
Purpose of the Conference
The session titled “Beyond Hot Flashes: Mental Health in Perimenopause & Menopause” aimed to spread awareness about the emotional, psychological, and hormonal changes women experience during this stage of life. The event brought together women from different walks of life to openly discuss their concerns and learn from medical experts.
Knowledge Sharing & Interactive Learning
More than 30 women participated in the interactive workshop, where experts discussed the physical, hormonal, and psychological changes that occur during perimenopause and menopause. The session emphasized that menopause is a natural phase of life and with the right guidance, support, and awareness, women can navigate it confidently and maintain a healthy, balanced life.

Dr. Makwana explained the medical and hormonal aspects of perimenopause and menopause, helping participants understand the changes occurring in their bodies and how timely medical care can support women during this transition.
Dr. Tanvi Shaikh
Consultant Psychiatrist
Dr. Shaikh highlighted the mental health aspects, discussing how mood changes, anxiety, sleep disturbances, and emotional stress can affect women during menopause, and how professional support can help manage these challenges effectively.
Ms. Aradhana Kaul Kathju
Counseling Psychologist
Ms. Kathju focused on emotional well-being and coping strategies, guiding participants on maintaining mental balance, communication, and self-care practices to improve overall quality of life.
Creating Awareness and Support
The workshop also addressed topics such as sleep health, lifestyle balance, digital wellness, emotional communication, and self-care. Experts encouraged women to prioritize their mental health and seek medical or psychological support whenever needed.
